Physician Services
The physicians at the Manotick Medical Centre provide comprehensive family medical care 7 days a week. We encourage you to see one regular doctor of your choice to develop a close professional relationship. Should your regular physician be unavailable, one of the other physicians would be glad to see you.

Booking and Canceling Appointments
We encourage you to schedule an appointment during office hours with your regular physician. It is only through direct contact with your physician that medical concerns can be efficiently addressed. The staff is not permitted to give medical advice over the phone.
To help the physicians see you in an orderly manner and on time, you will be asked to briefly state the nature of your visit when scheduling appointments. This allows the staff to book the appropriate amount of time for the visit. As an example, counseling, emotional, or psychological issues will need a longer appointment. A first pre-natal visit is booked as a ½ physical.
Although we strive to keep on schedule, emergencies do arise which may take precedence. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these delays.
Please inform us if you cannot keep an appointment. Missed appointments prevent other patients from being seen. There will be a $35 fee for a missed regular appointment, and a $50 fee for a missed physical or counseling appointment.
Prescription Renewals
To protect your health, prescription renewals will not be accepted by phone or fax. Prescription medications are important and need regular review. Please bring all your medications in their original bottles to each of your visits. This will help ensure that your doctor prescribes enough medication until your next appointment. Book well in advance when scheduling your appointments to prevent running out before you can be seen.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is of paramount importance in a doctor/patient relationship. Unless prior patient consent has been given, we cannot give any information about a patient.
Test Results
We will call a patient only if there are concerns with the test results. Unless specifically advised by your doctor, please do not call us for any test results. Please ensure that you update any telephone or address changes when you visit us.
The busiest times for telephone calls are during the initial opening hours each morning, and afternoon. Our phone lines are closed between 12 noon to 1 pm, and 5 pm to 6 pm, however an emergency line will be provided. If your call is not urgent, please call us in the evenings.
